Did you know that 47% of Greater London is "Green" and that there are 3000 parks dedicated as "public open space"?. Did you also know that since 2009, The London Mayor has spent £400 million on maintaining and improving London's image as the worlds most liveable and greenest big city?
Between the 18th and 28th of March 2016, London's green and urban spaces will become a hive of activity as the GLA continue with their engagement campaign to enhance the life of the Londoner with a 10 day festival to celebrate the great outdoors.
You'll never believe it, but Ladies and Gent's - Barefoot Bowls has been asked to be apart of it and we would love you to join the show. On the 19th of March from 1-5pm an area of Highbury Fields is going to be turned into a bowling oasis as we host Barefoot Bowls Highbury Fields style; a 2016 production aimed at breathing life, colour and fun back into the quintessentially British game of lawn bowls. Nothing serious, nothing personal - This one’s for the young, fun and sociable who want to be a part of something wholly different in the great outdoors this March.
In speaking on the event, Will Goy said " As a proud Londoner and with ambition to give back to London through Barefoot Bowls - what could be better than being a part of the London Mayors Festival - With Fun, colour and style, we can't wait to bring something wholly different to Highbury Fields - Everyone is welcome, we are ready to BOWL you all over."
Over the coming weeks you will be able to find more information on the event and on the Festival on this site and all across London.
